After a period of silence in the gallery, we proudly present a new series of exhibitions.
For the first exhibition we invited PIET OOSTERBEEK, a photographer living and working in Amsterdam. Besides his work as a commercial photographer Piet is also working on his ongoing project, Act of Being, where he documents and works as instinctive as possible with his ‘point and shoot’ camera. By this method he’s able to make the fairest picture possible of the way he observes people and their environment. We are therefore proud to present you this new show. Continue reading

During the International Film Festival Rotterdam, OPPERCLAES. worked together with Jacco Bunt, Nasbami and Said Kinos and transformed Avenue in Rotterdam for one day. Different works were made; from textile banners to handpainted typography on stairs. Continue reading

Bruce Tsai updated the almost iconic It Was All A Dream wall next to Hiphophuis. What initially started as a project with various updates every 4 months (for the celebration of 10 years Hiphophuis), this mural went viral on the internet and became so popular in Rotterdam that we decided to keep this same painting fresh. It also symbolizes the growth of the Delftsehof with Schieblock, Hiphophuis, Biergarten, Annabel and BAR as the main players. Continue reading

In the summer of 2015, OPPERCLAES, Kunsthal Rotterdam and Mothership proudly presents DO IT, a project by internationally renowned curator Hans Ulrich Obrist. This innovative exhibition concept consists of do it instructions by world famous artists including Carsten Höller, Yoko Ono, Gilbert & George, Maurizio Cattelan, Ilya Kabakov and Erwin Wurm.
